  • Position Responsibilities

    IPS is hiring!  We are looking for a talented Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team at our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters located in Blue Bell, PA

     

    The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with HR and Corporate management in supporting our staff. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, payroll, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

     

    This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating successfully to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

     

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Provides exceptional customer service to employees in a professional and timely manner by responding to HR, Payroll and information requests by researching outstanding issues and acting as an employee advocate.
    • Interacts with and supports global and regional offices with an understanding of foreign employment and compliance practices.
    • Administers/supports U.S. payroll process.
    • Administers outsourced global payroll.
    • Manages Immigration/Expatriate process in accordance with Immigration compliance requirements.
    • Maintains compliance with global, federal and state regulations concerning HR related employment.
    • Assists with benefits administration to include claims resolution, benefits reporting audits, and invoice review.
    • Monitors the customer service and performance of the benefits vendors and takes necessary steps to improve service to the employees.
    • Promotes and communicates information on employee benefits and services.
    • Works with the recruiting department on hiring practices and procedures.
    • Conducts new employee orientation.
    • Assists with employee relations, counseling, and solution planning/implementation.
    • Assists with employee relations events.
    • Assists in maintaining Human Resource information system records, including talent management system platforms and payroll system records. Compiles reports from database.
    • Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares, maintains and promotes employee handbook and HR policies and procedures manual.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience, Master's Degree in Human Resources Management with minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources field, or 7 years of experience in a Human Resources related field.
    • Considerable knowledge of principles, practices and responsibilities of U.S. and Global Human Resources.
    • Thorough knowledge of U.S. Payroll.
    • Working understanding of federal and state employment laws. Ability to research, interpret and apply personnel policies and procedures and global, federal and state employment regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously and obtain cooperation from others to see projects/programs through to successful completion.
    • Ability to pivot focus as changing needs required.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills: must make good judgment calls regarding what to communicate, how much, to whom, and when.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building and teaming skills with all levels of organization.
    • Effective persuasion and influencing skills.
    • Any certification in HR is preferred.
