  • Position Responsibilities

    IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented Packaging Engineer to join our industry leading Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (C/Q/V) team at our client site located in Marietta, PA.


    Responsibilities include: 

    • Management of Packaging Component Design and Development 
    • Participate in cross-functional project team meetings as needed
    • Support design risk assessment activities for packaging components
    • Management of FW Packaging Profile Documentation
    • Create and manage Package Engineering documentation (Packaging specifications, packaging line trial protocols, packaging assessments and plans, etc)
    • Support MMF project alignment with Pkg Component Optimization team and incoming inspection requirements, as needed
    • Support execution of Commissioning and Performance Testing 
    • Manage/Execute package development and Packaging Line Trials (this includes all activities from documentation creation, on-floor execution of test protocols, and documentation/protocol approvals
    • Support execution of Validation and PPQ runs 
    • Support/Manage bottle packout configuration change for new Gaylord design 
    • Support/Manage MMF project artwork and labeling process activities
    • Travel to packaging component vendors and/or packaging sites to assess processes and capabilities, and troubleshoot issues as needed

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • 5-10 years of Packaging experience preferred
    • 2-5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical packaging sector is preferred
    • Extensive experience conducting packaging equipment line trials (including equipment operating parameter development)
    • Experience with packaging equipment commissioning and qualification processes/requirements for packaging equipment, including the linkage between equipment and packaging components
    • Experience with packaging validation processes and requirements
    • Knowledge of risk assessment processes, particularly Design FMEA processes 
    • Extensive packaging component design knowledge and experience
    • Knowledge/experience with packaging equipment
    • Team oriented
    • Excellent communication skills required
    • Excellent project management skills required
    • Excellent analytical problem solving skills
    • Able to drive projects effectively to completion
    • Able to identify project interdependencies and potential downstream impacts
    • Organized
    • Able to manage complexity and multiple activities at once
